It’s that time of year again! Time to loosen your belt, let out the waist, and pack on the pounds for a festive Thanksgiving in Naperville…

Just kidding!

It’s time to amp up your training routine, lace up your sneakers, and get ready for the run of a lifetime. We’re talking, of course, about an annual local tradition:

The Naperville Noon Lions Turkey Trot.

No, it’s not at noon. But we’ll get to that later.

Register Soon

You’re on a timeline, so speed up, buddy! This fun-filled Thanksgiving Day event has sold out early, every year, for the past 7 years. Only the first 7,500 applicants will be permitted to register. Click here to register.

Once you register, you can pick up your packet at the Naperville Running Company, between now and November 21st.

Race Day

Part of the joy of any race is carb-loading! You can fuel up through a free pancake breakfast on race day, generously sponsored by Belgio’s Catering. Make sure you arrive to breakfast early, though, as the race starts at 8 a.m.

Of course, you need adequate hydration to do your best. Water will be available at the start and finish of the course. You can also grab a cup at an intermediary point along the course.

Once you finish the race, you can view your results online immediately by scanning the QR code on your bib.

Charity

The Turkey Trot allows the Lions Club in Naperville to sponsor vision care, hearing care, and diabetes support for local children. You might not have known the Lions Club was inspired by Helen Keller to become the “Knights of the Blind” to fight against the darkness. The Naperville chapter contributes to a host of local organizations.
