6 Thanksgiving Events in Naperville Every Family Will Enjoy

*Note: Naperville ISD students will be off for the Thanksgiving Holidays November 22-24, so be sure to watch out for children in the crossways or when driving through residential areas!*

The holidays are here, and we hope everyone at River Run will take the time to enjoy some of the fun and relaxing Thanksgiving events in Naperville!

If you’re looking for creative ideas or activities to do with the kids during their break, here are several events the whole family will love less than 30 minutes from your home:

 

Learn and Grow at DuPage Children’s Museum

On November 22, 2017, the DuPage Children’s Museum  will host a variety of activities including story time, block building, and a new game, “Raise Your IQ.”

Museum hours are 9 a.m.-4 p.m. daily except on weekends when closing is at 5 p.m. Admission is $12 for adults and children over age one. Seniors get a discount at $10, so be sure to bring the grandparents in on the fun!

 

Special Thanksgiving Meals

If you don’t plan on cooking this year or want to experience unexpected mishaps in the kitchen, there are several locations offering special Thanksgiving meals for the family in Downtown Naperville.

Eggs Inc. will open from 7:00 a.m. 1:30 p.m.  You can get a quick breakfast on the way to your family dinner, or a romantic holiday brunch with that special someone. Also, Rosebud (22 E Chicago Ave), will open 11:00 a.m. 7:00 p.m. They will serve their regular menu of pizza and luscious pasta, along with a special Thanksgiving menu.

Finally, Ted’s Montana Grill (39 W Jefferson Ave) will be serving Thanksgiving Dinner, but be sure to call (630) 848-2255 for a reservation!

 

More Holiday Events in Naperville

The biggest shopping day of the year arrives on November 24th this year. You can catch all of Naperville’s Black Friday deals to get many of your holiday gifts, as long as you don’t mind the crowds!

If you’d rather go for family fun, you can bundle up of the kids and head out to the Naperville Settlement Museum (523 S. Webster Street) for their Christkindlmarket. Enjoy a great taste of Germany for your Holiday Season! There will be food, entertainment, and plenty of crafts and souvenirs.
