For a long time, residents of Naperville had access to plenty of excellent wine and spirits thanks to Chicago. However, there were few options when it came to quality beer. Fortunately, there’s one brewery on the scene that’s helping to change that: Solemn Oath Brewery.
From Humble Beginnings
Solemn Oath Brewery may have only been operating since 2012, but it immediately made a name for itself. The founders saw that no one was providing our fine city with the drinking experience it deserves.
Even in a city with as modest a beer presence as Naperville, it has enjoyed constant growth through passion and dedication. Now, it’s open daily and is often packed. With a hearty, brash energy and over a dozen homebrewed drafts, it’s not difficult to see why.
What Makes Solemn Oath Special
For the true SOB (as they affectionately refer to themselves) experience, you’ve got to hit the taproom. Here you can get beer in all sizes, while a half-wall is the only thing separating you from the all the sights and smells of the beer making process.
But those aren’t the only things that make this a truly unique experience. Additionally, only Solemn Oath-produced beer is served. Don’t fret, though, because they have fourteen drafts full of both standards and specialties. There’s a three-serving limit as well. That might sound like a drag but it keeps things fun but not fraught (besides, a flight of four beers still counts as one serving). Solemn Oath knows how to keep the booze and the mood flowing in just the right way.
Be sure to also check out the affectionately-called SOB Stories which are not, in fact, tearful tales. Rather, it is an ongoing chronicle of opportunities, offerings, and general musings. Not only that, they keep a list of “oathspots” you can check out for some other SOB-approved drinking locales.
So, the next time you need to slake your thirst, make Solemn Oath Brewery your destination.Back to all posts
